Expansion of Secondary Packaging Services

Des Plaines, IL, May 8, 2008: Cloud Packaging Solutions officially launched its large-scale secondary packaging division, which will provide a wider range of secondary service options to the food, beverage and nutraceutical markets. Cloud has performed these services for decades on a small scale, but has now grown its services, added a dedicated team, and built a 100,000 square foot facility exclusively for secondary packaging. Cloud's expanded capabilities include cartoning, shrink-wrapping, vertical FFS, display assembly, multi-packs, variety packs, pallet-ready displays, and more.

Cloud's extensive secondary packaging options will help customers address the industry's most challenging packaging needs. These include packaging products for different distribution channels (grocery, bulk stores, convenience store C-packs, etc.), seasonal and holiday packaging and new product launches. The new service will also open up a number of promotional opportunities for customers, such as two-for-one multi-packs, samples bundled with regular-sized packages, coupon placement, and special promotion labeling.

Managed by a team with 50 combined years of experience in secondary packaging, the new Cloud facility is outfitted with the following capabilities: shrink-wrap/multi-pack, shrink banding, overwrapping, vertical/horizontal cartoning, V/HFFS pouching, POP display assembly and gift set/kit assembly.
